The First of Many Live Interviews
I hosted the first ever-LIVE Winnipeg Music Project episode this past Tuesday. The high from the adrenaline was fantastic. Its very similar to the high I get from performing my own music. It’s terrifying but more or less addicting. I know there had been episodes on the show which had been live in the past when I was interviewed by Jared talking about the Winnipeg music project, but this was the first time I was interviewing someone else. Live. On the radio. All by myself.
All interviews prior had been pre-recorded. Initially it was due to having class at my scheduled slow but since the strike at school I’ve had a lot of free time on my names (not being used effectively with studying and such).
I’m so honoured to have this opportunity. I’m also really glad I’d prerecorded the interviews for a year before I started doing live shows. It allowed me to figure out my voice, a format, and gain the confidence to talk to other people. I think getting interviewed myself a couple times had helped too.
Who would have thought this would have been apart of my life? I never in a million years thought I would be interviewing bands on the radio every week. Even 2 years ago this was never my intention; but I love how my life has moved into this direction.
I’m so happy right now. I love my life. This high, this feeling of accomplishment and pride is amazing. I love what I do. I love all the fantastic and talented people I get to meet because of the Winnipeg Music Project. It really is changing my life.
I’m so happy.
I think I should end this post here. I’ll ramble until the cows come home.
Again thank you.
